CREATING A CULTURE OF
DIVERSITY & INCLUSION.
Harper is committed to creating and supporting a diverse and inclusive environment for our employees, our We Care culture, and our industry as a whole.
Harper is proud to partner with the following organizations that support a culture of diversity and inclusion:
OUR VISION.

OUR MISSION.
To maximize the potential of our employees by building a diverse and inclusive workforce.
SUPPLIER DIVERSITY.
It takes an experienced team of talent to provide innovative MEP solutions, including having the best subcontractors, suppliers, and trades personnel on our team. We know and understand that people with diverse backgrounds and experiences lead to improved creativity, problem-solving, and a better building environment. That is why we are committed to partnering with local businesses, trade partners, and Small Business Enterprises (SBE), Minority Business Enterprises (MBE), Woman-owned Business Enterprises (WBE), and Veteran-owned Business Enterprises (VBE) to help deliver successful projects to building owners.

UNIDOS
UNIDOS is our employee resource group that was created to promote, empower, and diversify the Hispanic culture within our Company. The mission of this ERG is to create a supportive environment for Hispanic employees and provide a more diverse and inclusive environment where we all feel safe, respected, and valued.
EMBRACE
Harper’s Diversity & Inclusion Employee Resource Group, EMBRACE, was created to continue to evolve our commitment to a culture of diversity and inclusion. The mission of this ERG is to maximize the potential of our employees by creating great opportunities through a diverse and inclusive workforce.
Women in Construction and Service (WICS)
Harper is committed to diversifying our workforce, promoting and supporting women within our organization to take on leadership roles, and helping encourage other women to join our industry as a whole. To support this initiative, a group of determined Harper men and women created our Women in Construction & Service (WICS) Employee Resource Group with a vision to create a culturally agile community that respects and empowers women in our Company and industry.
NAWIC
Harper is actively involved with the local National Women in Construction (NAWIC) chapters and programs. To continue to further our partnership with NAWIC and do our part in changing the industry landscape, Harper’s People & Culture Manager, Gloria Silva, was recently sworn in as President of the Local NAWIC Tampa Chapter 36.
ACE Mentor Program
To help recruit the next generation of diverse industry leaders, Harper is actively involved with the ACE Mentor Program of America, Inc. (ACE). ACE helps mentor high school students and inspires them to pursue careers in design and construction. It is the construction industry’s fastest-growing high school mentoring program, reaching over 8,000 students annually.
Leadership Development
A key aspect of creating a diverse and inclusive culture is for all employees to feel empowered to contribute their unique skills, perspective, and experience. The actions of our leadership set the tone for a strong and positive climate of inclusion where everyone can operate at their full professional capacity. At Harper, we are developing training courses to promote a diverse and inclusive culture, including bringing in subject matter experts to speak with our employees and incorporating diversity & inclusion throughout our training programs.
