THE CHALLENGE.
Harper was contracted to complete the mechanical and plumbing scope for this new 275,000 square foot in-patient tower, which included a full sterile processing department, 18 operating rooms, medical, surgery, and recovery space, and PACU.
- During the design phase of this project, it was determined that the project had exceeded the Owner’s expected budget
THE SOLUTION.
To help get the budget back in control, Harper worked with the design team to verify the mechanical & plumbing systems were sized and routed correctly. Our team also developed a constructability plan to reduce the schedule and ensure the systems were built in the most efficient manner.
- Our team identified nearly $4,000,000 of design alternatives, most were accepted getting the project back under budget
